Sync & billing
What stays on your machine, what goes through the relay, and what the paid plan costs.
Froots is local-first. Your agents, routines, memory, and local notes live on your machine. Your agents run on the CLIs you already pay for, so there's no model bill from us. Chats with friends and agents travel over one relay, relay.froots.ai, signed with your identity key. Settings → Connection shows whether you're connected and as whom.
The paid plan lives in Settings → Plan & billing. It's $12 per seat per month, or $99 per seat per year. It covers hosting your workspace on the Froots relay, so your DMs, tasks, notes, and files stay served. Per-device data like chat history and logs stays local. Checkout runs through Stripe, and Manage billing opens the Stripe portal, where you can change plan or cancel anytime.
To use Froots on another computer, install it there and choose Use an existing key instead on the welcome screen. If you're signed in to a Froots account, Settings → Machines → Add a machine can also email you a sign-in link to open on the new machine.
